Privacy policy
Updated 6 November 2026. Covers the JejumJá app (Android) and this website. The Portuguese version is the reference text.
In short
- Your fasts, readings and weight are health data. We only process them with your consent, and only to make the app work for you.
- We don't sell your data, show ads, or use your data to train artificial intelligence.
- You can export or delete your data from the app itself, whenever you like.
1. Who we are
The controller of your data is IDNTEQ Tecnologia da Informação Ltda, CNPJ 32.379.856/0001-06, Rua Borges de Figueiredo, 303, sala 216, Mooca, São Paulo/SP, CEP 03110-010, Brazil. JejumJá is part of motivati.me, IDNTEQ's family of apps.
Data protection officer (encarregado, LGPD art. 41): Adriaan de Haan, privacidade@jejumja.com.
2. What data we process
| Data | Examples | Where it comes from |
|---|---|---|
| Account | Name, email, password (stored only as a hash, never as text), language. If you sign in with Google: name, email and your Google account identifier. | You, when you sign up |
| Fasting (health data) | Start and end of each fast, goal, plan and days, size of your last meal, streak, medals and challenges. | You, in the app |
| Logs (health data) | Water and electrolytes; blood ketone, urine strip and glucose readings; weight and waist. | You, in the app |
| Health Connect (health data) | Weight records only, if you connect it. The first read covers the past 30 days; after that, new records. | Health Connect, on your phone |
| Supporters | The name you give the person you invite; when they accept, their name and email; the milestones you choose to share (goal reached, streak, challenge done). | You and the invited person |
| Consents | Which you gave or withdrew, when, and the version of the wording. | The app |
| Notifications | Your phone's notification identifier (token) and your reminder times. | The app |
| Technical data | IP address, date and time, error type. Technical logs never include health values. | The app and the server |
The app also keeps a copy of your data on your phone so it opens quickly and works offline. Anything you do without a connection stays on the phone until it's sent.
3. Why we use it, and the legal basis
- Health data (fasts, logs, Health Connect): to show your fast, its stages, averages and history. Basis: your specific, highlighted consent (LGPD art. 11, I), asked in the app before your first entry. Fasts over 24 hours, Health Connect and supporters each have their own consent.
- Your account and running the app: so you can sign in and use it. Basis: performance of the contract (art. 7, V).
- Reminders and the daily check-in during long fasts: only if you turn them on; you can turn them off in Settings.
- Security, abuse prevention and fixing faults: legitimate interest and legal obligations (art. 7, IX and II).
We don't use your data for advertising, build profiles for third parties, or make automated decisions that affect your rights. JejumJá doesn't send your data to artificial-intelligence models.
4. Who we share it with
Only with the providers that run the app (processors), and only what they need:
| Provider | What for | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Hetzner Online GmbH | The server and database that hold your data | Germany |
| Cloudflare, Inc. | Secure connection between the app and the server; hosting this website | Global network (US company) |
| Google LLC | Delivering notifications (Firebase Cloud Messaging) and Google sign-in, if you use it | USA |
Your supporters only see the milestones you share, never your fasts, readings or weight. Beyond that, we only share data when the law or a court order requires it.
International transfer
Because our providers are outside Brazil, your data is transferred to other countries (LGPD arts. 33 to 36). These providers process the data under their data-protection terms, and only to provide their service to us.
One account for the motivati.me apps
Your account works across the motivati.me apps. If you sign in to another app in the family with the same account, it can show your fasts. In Settings, "Leave JejumJá" removes the app from your account without deleting the account.
5. Health Connect
With your permission, JejumJá reads only weight records from Health Connect, to show them under "Weight and waist". The app never writes to Health Connect. This data isn't used for advertising, isn't sold, and isn't shared beyond the providers above that store your records. Disconnect in JejumJá's Settings and remove the permission in Health Connect itself; weights already brought in stay in your log until you delete them.
6. How long we keep it
- Your data is kept while your account exists.
- When you delete an entry, it leaves the database at once.
- "Delete my fasting data" deletes fasts, plans, readings, water, electrolytes, weight and waist. "Delete my account" deletes the account and all your data.
- We keep an audit log (who did what and when, without the content of your data) for security and legal obligations.
7. Your rights
Under the LGPD (art. 18) you can: confirm whether we process your data and access it; correct it; ask for unnecessary data to be anonymised, blocked or deleted; take your data to another service (portability); delete data processed with your consent; know who we share it with; know what happens if you don't consent; and withdraw consent at any time.
In the app, under Settings: Export my data, Delete my fasting data and Delete my account. Long fasts, Health Connect and supporters can be turned off in Settings. To withdraw consent for health data, use "Delete my fasting data" or write to us. You can also email privacidade@jejumja.com; we reply within 15 days. If you're not satisfied, you can complain to Brazil's data protection authority (ANPD).
8. Security
Every connection is encrypted (TLS). Passwords are stored only as hashes. In the database, each person can only reach their own data, and health values never appear in technical logs. If a security incident could cause you relevant risk or harm, we tell you and the ANPD.
9. Age
JejumJá is for people aged 18 and over.
10. This website
jejumja.com uses no cookies, visitor analytics or trackers. Cloudflare, which hosts the site, processes technical access data (such as your IP address) to deliver the pages and protect the site.
11. Changes to this policy
If we change something important, we tell you in the app before the change applies. If a change needs new consent, we ask again.
